About 3 years ago, the former TechCrunch writer and Pandodaily-Founder Sarah Lacy, mentioned her favorite books about emerging markets (on her personal blog). Her list goes like this: 1. The Post-American World – not a book about the decline of America, but rather about the rise of everyone else. 2. India after Gandhi – the History of the World’s Largest Democracy 3. Democratic Brazil Revisited – importand stuff about the world’s fifth-largest country.
Michael Arrington (Founder of TechCrunch) once stated that very few business books are worth reading. He advices entrepreneurs to read science fiction instead. His favorite science fiction books are: 1. Dune – 20,000 years in the future, a noble family leaves pleasant planet for hopeless desert planet called Dune at order of emperor. 2. Foundation Trilogy – these three books are a small part of what’s now called the Foundation Series.
