Rocket Internet’s Helpling launches its domestic cleaning platform in 4 more EU countries from Berlin

Helpling, the online platform for domestic cleaners (basically a Homejoy ‘clone’ company), is now expanding its service Europe-wide. The Berlin-based Startup, which started in April this year in Germany, launches in France, Sweden, Holland and Austria today.

Helpling enables people to book professional cleaners quickly and easily. Users can book a cleaner in three simple steps, in about 60 seconds, making household-related services accessible in a single click. All cleaning partners are licensed and are working legally.

The expert team of 85 people behind Helpling, located in Berlin, is led by Benedikt Franke and Philipp Huffmann. Helpling is supported by Rocket Internet, one of the world’s largest internet incubators, which, alongside Zalando, Groupon International and eDarling, has built various successful internet companies worldwide (mostly company clones!).

Benedikt Franke, co-founder at Helpling, stated: “We are very happy to offer our service in five European countries from now on. After the successful start in Germany in April this year, it is now the right time to roll out our business model Europe-wide. The cleaning sector here has a huge potential; it is a stable and growing market. Together, the five countries create an annual turnover of more than €32 billion. With Helpling we aim to make the cleaning industry more transparent.”
