Berlin-based UnderCovers, an app for couples who would like to try out new things in bed, has just closed their first financing round, totalling six-digits, from a group of business angels (Update – August 2023: The startup seems to be no longer in business under this website, and we therefore deactivated the original link).
The app UnderCovers, which is available on both Android and iOs, enables lovers to discuss their sexual fantasies in a playful and discrete manner. The founders of the project Jan Kroschinski and Stefan Moll said that this is just the first step, though; the aim of the app is to turn every couple’s love life into a lasting adventure. The current version of the app has already been downloaded around 250,000 times.
UnderCovers began in 2014, and its team moved from Cologne to Berlin in October of the same year. So far, the young company has been completely bootstrapped. The fresh capital will be used for product development.
