Call for applications! Join the Italian accelerator SeedLab in 2013

SeedLab, the Italian entrepreneurship programme, has opened its call for applications (Update – March 2023: The website seems to be out of use, and we therefore deactivated the original link). The accelerator is looking for innovators without experience in managing businesses but with a new business idea, to help them grow and create a successful startup. Ideas are selected considering their quality, including degree of innovation, target market prospects, scalability and competitive advantage.

In the first part of the programme the participants will learn the basis of accounting, finance, strategy, marketing and project management. In the second part, each team will be hosted during the summer for an intensive incubation experience to keep learning startup-oriented content, define a credible business model and meet mentors and innovators.

At the end of the programme, all the ideas will be pitched in front of international venture capitalists, angels and corporate investors; the jury will then select the winners of a 2-week business trip to Silicon Valley.

SeedLab’s financial partners offer to support the best startups for the programme, paying for the €25K tuition and up to €10K in cash in exchange of 10% of the startup equity.

SeedLab is looking for ideas in the following industries: agro-food, new materials, clean-tech, life-sciences, informatics hardware, mechanics and robotics, telecom, web-digital-new media, informatics software. Applications for the 2013 edition will be accepted until 17 March 2013.
