Toulouse-based payments startup BuyBox secures € 1.7 million

BuyBox, a Toulouse-based social payment solution provider for e-merchants, today announced a € 1.7 million equity increase from Iris Capital and Midi Capital (Update – March 2023: The startup seems to be no longer in business under this website, and we therefore deactivated the original link). The fresh capital will be used to develop the product portfolio and for the international commercial deployment.

Founded at the end of 2010 as a venture by the Oonetic group, BuyBox is today a well-used social payment solution for e-commerce. BuyBox allows e-commerce sites to natively collect and organize group payment, for example to buy a birthday present or an expensive item (similar to Leetchi, a startup which is also based in France).BuyBox is now successfully deployed via well known customers such as Celio, Wonderbox.fr or Micromania.
