Dutch startup Tradeshift announces a multi-million-dollar partnership with Intuit

Tradeshift, the global business network which was started in 2009 out of Copenhagen, today announced a new partnership with Intuit that will connect the 5 million businesses who use QuickBooks onto Tradeshift and create “the largest network of companies on one platform that the world has ever seen”. The partnership includes a strategic investment from the legacy accounting software maker Intuit.

Christian Lanng, Co-founder and CEO of Tradeshift, wrote an article about this partnership and stated on the company’s blog: “Why does this matter? Scale. The value of any communications network increases directly in proportion to number of users — and when it reaches a point where it includes most of the businesses you want to interact with, something amazing happens. Skype, Facebook, Linkedin; all these platforms are successful because they have critical mass. Today is a giant leap toward Tradeshift joining that lineup.”

The vision of Tradeshift is to connect every business on the globe in a single network to help all companies interact more easily, securely and efficiently by taking their commercial relationships online. The young company has offices in Copenhagen, London and San Francisco. Check out the video below to learn more about Tradeshift’s new partnership:
