Lucas Englehardt, an American entrepreneur in Shanghai, is launching Delivery Hero China tomorrow, an aggregator site for food delivery services (Update – March 2023: The website seems to be out of use, and we therefore deactivated the original link). Delivery Hero China is the second iteration of his food business, which started as Aimifan before he sold it to the German startup Delivery Hero. Fab-logo-smallSocial shopping site Fab has promoted Maria Molland to a new key role as ‘Chief European Officer’ (Update – March 2023: The website seems to be out of use, and we therefore deactivated the original link). Fab is now live in 24 countries in the European Union, and it boasts over 100 employees there, with plans to grow the team to 150 by the end of 2012. BestSecret-logoThe private equity firm AXA has taken a majority stake in Schustermann & Borenstein (Update – March 2023: The website seems to be out of use, and we therefore deactivated the original link), a company that focuses on exporting clothing, as well as operating BestSecret.com, an exclusive private shopping club. The investment, which is worth some €200 million, could enable BestSecret to expand beyond Germany to elsewhere in Europe. Visit TechCrunch to read more.

Pearltrees-logoPearltrees social library is now topping the App Store charts in the US. Just 10 days ago Pearltrees, the Paris-based social library tool that allows users to organize all things digital, launched its iPhone version.
