We just switched from @EU_Startups_com to @EU_Startups

Many of our Twitter followers already noticed it – but now official: We just switched from @EU_Startups_com to the shorter and much nicer Twitter handle @EU_Startups. Since this was an activated but inactive username, it took a few emails back and forth with the Trust & Safety-Team of Twitter. Although there is no easy way to claim an inactive Twitter handle, it all worked out at the end.

Twitter’s official statement regarding inactive usernames is: “If a username you would like is being used by an account that seems inactive, you should consider selecting an available variation for your use on Twitter. In general, adding numbers, underscores, or abbreviations can help you come up with a great available username.”

Remember: Four characters less also makes it easier for you to share our stories. 🙂 So if you’re not already doing it, make sure to follow us on Twitter!
