Rob Cassedy, CEO of Wallapop, will speak at this year’s EU-Startups Summit on April 20-21 in Barcelona!

On April 20-21 we’ll be hosting this year’s EU-Startups Summit in Barcelona! Our annual flagship event will gather over 2,000 founders, startup enthusiasts and investors for two exciting days of networking, inspiration and learning. And we can’t wait to welcome you there.

In addition to a buzzing exhibition hall, great networking opportunities, and an exciting pitch competition, we’ll also have two stages where you’ll be able to learn from over 70 speakers and listen to educational and inspiring talks by internationally successful founders.

Today, we’re very excited to share another inspiring speaker who’ll be joining us: Rob Cassedy, the CEO of the Spanish reusing platform Wallapop!

Founded in 2013, Wallapop has become a leading player in Europe’s circular economy. Based in Barcelona, Wallapop offers a unique, sustainability-centric marketplace of reused products that encourages a more humane, circular consumption model. With a presence in Spain, Italy and Portugal, Wallapop currently connects 15 million users a month  – users who collectively create around 100 million listings annually. Via the online platform, it’s possible to buy and sell products from all categories of consumer goods easily, quickly and securely. The company has gotten 2023 off to a flying start, picking up a whopping €83 million this January.

Rob is the current CEO of Wallapop and has been a leading force in making the company a household name in its market locations, across generations. From Gen Z to the Boomers, Wallapop has been able to pick up traction and it’s exciting to watch this cultural revolution unfold.

In April, Rob will take to the stage to discuss digital marketplaces and how to scale them internationally in an insightful panel discussion. It’s something you don’t want to miss so make sure to secure your ticket today and join us there.
