Croatia-based Infobip supports more than 300 startups with €1.8 million through flagship programme

Vodnjan-based cloud communications platform Infobip revealed it has now supported 327 startups from 64 countries with more than €1.8 million of value of its products and services, through its Startup Tribe Programme.

Infobip launched its Startup Tribe Programme in May 2021 to help mission-driven startups to build and manage their customer engagement strategy and grow their business. It does this by providing access to €60,000 in credits for Infobip’s services and its global network of advisors, investors, and accelerators.

By eliminating the need to build a global communications infrastructure from the ground up, Infobip’s programme gives startups the ability to focus on what really matters to them: developing their product and scaling their business. Reflecting the need for conservational experiences, startups on the programme demanded email first, WhatsApp second, and SMS third. This was followed by Messenger, Voice, Viber, and MMS.

Nikola Pavesic, Director of Startups at Infobip, commented: “Since launching the Startup Tribe Programme, we have aimed to help young firms conquer new heights and achieve their goals through the engagement, reach and scalability offered by our global communications platform. Now, we have helped more than 300 startups to access our market-leading services and our global network of world-class investors, funds, and accelerators.”

Infobip has now received more than 740 applications to date from 300 cities across the world and 105 countries. Out of these, more than 80 were software-as-a-service companies, 70 were fintech businesses, and 40 were eCommerce firms.

Reflecting the increasing demand for artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), Infobip has also received more than 30 applications from AI and ML firms. The global cloud communications firm has also received around 30 applications from marketing tech, edtech, tech media and telco firms and around 20 applications from health tech and digital health startups.

Infobip also reveals that 125 partners from 43 countries now support the companies on its Startup Tribe Programme. These include 92 venture capitalists, 16 accelerators, four incubators, three corporate venture capitalists, one family office and one angel syndicate, with eight others.

Some 19 partners are US firms, while 15 are based in Singapore, and 10 are UK companies. Next, seven partners are from Croatia, while six are from the Czech Republic and Germany, with five from the United Arab Emirates, Austria, and Estonia.
