EU-Startups Summit 2023 | Frequently Asked Questions

On April 20-21, 2023, we will be welcoming you to our annual EU-Startups Summit in Barcelona! This year, the event will be bigger and better than ever before and we’ll have lots of exciting speakers, panel discussions, networking activities, pitch competitions and much more. The EU-Startups Summit will gather over 2,000 founders, startup enthusiasts and investors for two days of networking, inspiration and learning!

With the event just a day away, we wanted to make sure you are fully informed and up to date! So, find here answers to some frequently asked questions. If you have any other queries, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us or chat with one of the team on the day.

Arriving there

  • The event location is Palau de Congressos de Barcelona, Av. de la Reina Maria Cristina, 08004, Barcelona. You can easily arrive there via public transport with bus and metro links to Placa Espanya, or, avail of the city’s mobility options (taxi, scooter, bikes and so forth).
  • Doors at the venue open at 9 am sharp! The event agenda kicks off at 10 am, so make sure you arrive with plenty of time to get checked in and comfortable.
  • Once you arrive at the venue, you will get signed in and pick up your badge. You don’t need to bring a printed ticket with you. You will also get a welcome bag which includes a booklet, the entire agenda and more information about how the two days will progress.
  • The entire event is in-person. There will be no live stream or online participation. 

Networking

There is a range of networking opportunities at this year’s Summit – we have after-parties, breakout zones and a dedicated networking app.

Networking App

  • EU-Startups Summit App is available on app stores for Android and iOs.
  • Your sign-in information will have been emailed to you already (from Grip). This enables you to create your profile.
  • On the app, you can make connections, set up meetings, and find the entire event agenda.
  • Use the app to swipe on different attendees and then chat with them to set up meetings. We have a dedicated area on Level 0. Book your table via the app.

Networking

  • The dedicated networking area is found on Level O (the same floor as the Exhibition Hall). It hosts tables that can be booked, space to chat, the Cloudworks Lounge, and, is where you will find our Breakout Zones.
  • Use the app to book a table in the networking zone. You can choose a slot that suits you and make the connections that matter.

After Parties

  • The Official EU-Startups Networking Party will take place on Thursday, April 20th, at Safari Disco Club (C/ de Tarragona, 141, 08014 Barcelona). It starts at 7 pm and as an attendee, you are automatically on the list. The Club is a short walk from the event venue. This is exclusively for EU-Startups Summit attendees – you will need to have your badge.
  • On Friday, April 21, there is an exclusive Rooftop Afterwork event at Casa Les Punxes X Cloudworks (Avinguda Diagonal, 420, 08037 Barcelona). This is a limited event.

Agenda, Exhibitors and Speakers

  • The event agenda is available on the EU-Startups Summit App and will also be included in the event booklet that you’ll get at check-in
  • The Pitch Competition will take place on Day 2. You can find the finalists in the event booklet and also here.
  • The event booklet will also show you who is speaking and when including which company they are from. This is also available on the app.
  • On the App, you can filter attendees by their category (startup enthusiast, corporate, investor) so that you can easily find the people you need.
  • You can find out information about the different companies in the Exhibition Hall here. There is also a map in the event booklet, which you’ll pick up when you check-in.
  • The entire event is in-person. There will be no live stream or online participation.
