On May 12-13, 2022, we’re very excited to be hosting the 8th edition of our annual EU-Startups Summit in Barcelona! We have an incredible list of people joining us this year. One inspiring woman joining us on the workshop stage will be Sissel Hansen, the founder and CEO of Startup Guide. Sissel will share a talk on “Optimising for Impact – how startups can solve the biggest challenges”.
Sissel founded Startup Guide in 2014 with an aim to help entrepreneurs navigate and connect with different startup scenes across the world. Often described as the ‘Lonely Planet for entrepreneurs, the company produces guidebooks and online content to guide, empower and inspire people to start their own business. Based in Denmark, the firm has books in over 50 cities across Europe, the Middle East, the USA, and Asia!
As well as CEO and founder of internationally successful Startup Guide, Sissel is also the co-founder of the new sustainability conference Impact the Future, taking place in Sønderborg, Denmark 1st and 2rd November 2022. Besides that, she is also a board member of the Association of Tech Startups in Denmark, TechBBQ, and The Danish Competitiveness Council. In 2015, she was listed as one of the 100 most aspiring talents and young leaders in Denmark by Berlingske Tidende. Sissel also made another appearance on our list of the most influential women in the European startup space this year.
