Amrit Dhir, Head of Global Operations at Google for Startups, joins us at this year’s EU-Startups Summit

On May 2-3, we’re going to host the EU-Startups Summit in Barcelona. It will be the 6th edition of our annual flagship event – and with up to 1,200 startup founders and investors from across Europe also our biggest one so far!

Today we’re excited to announce another great speaker for the workshop stage of our event. It is Amrit Dhir, the Head of Global Operations at Google for Startups.

Amrit Dhir leads operations and expansion for Google’s global network of physical spaces for entrepreneurs (campus.co). He works with technology startups drawing from his experience in new business development for some of Alphabet’s most innovative products and groundbreaking technologies: Projects in Google Research (i.e. machine learning), the Cultural Institute, Google[x] (now X), and Google Life Sciences (now Verily). He’s also learned from some spectacular failures and a background in law (Harward Law School). Today, Amrit is also active as an angel investor, and a dabbler in languages and fantasy sports.

At the EU-Startups Summit, Amrit will talk about “Learning from Moonshots” – where he will draw out 4 practical lessons for innovators, entrepreneurs, and corporates based on what he has learned from some of Google/Alphabet’s most ambitious projects: Verily’s Project Baseline; X’s killed cargo airships investigationGoogle Helpouts; and Google for Startups. The talk will take place in front of a closed group in our workshop area (no journalists allowed) and it will not be recorded or streamed.

If we already sparked your interest for the upcoming EU-Startups Summit, make sure to secure your ticket now!

As in the previous years, we’ll showcase a selection of Europe’s hottest startups (incl. a big pitch competition) and come together to learn from some of the most successful European entrepreneurs of our time. You can expect huge list of exciting speakers, many high-profile investors, great networking opportunities and much more.

That being said, it would be awesome to meet you at the 2019 edition of the EU-Startups Summit on May 2-3 in Barcelona. More info can be found here (page will be updated on a weekly basis) and in the video below!
