The Berlin-based startup Labiotech.eu announces that it has raised a second low 6-figure seed-round from new lead investor Wille AG from Zurich and 3 new business angels, Indiana Capital, JOT-Berlin and Iduskia, as well as existing investors, WestTech Ventures and 3 previous business angels.
Labiotech.eu was founded three years ago and has grown rapidly, tripling its visitors, since the first fundraising 18 months ago. It now welcomes nearly 100k monthly visitors and counts five of the largest life sciences companies as customers. This makes it the largest biotech platform in Europe, propelled by a team of 14 biotech enthusiasts.
The whole team believes biotech is an industry that has an enormous impact on making the world a better place through the development of cutting-edge and life-saving technologies, and that biotech information is not as accessible as it should be. Labiotech.eu is a platform providing digital information on the biotech ecosystem and its players, with topics such as innovation, investments, partnerships, discoveries and more.
This fresh capital will support Labiotech.eu’s growth and provide the team with more resources for the creation of content and the launch of new products for their readers and clients.
Labiotech received it’s first investment and support at Project Flying Elephant, an accelerator program of WestTech Ventures in Berlin. Alexander Koelpin, MD & Partner WestTech Ventures, commented: “The team at Labiotech.eu has impressed us in the last 18 months and we are very happy to continue to work with them to support their vision.”
