Shipitwise: The first syndicate on Funderbeam reaching 100% of their funding goal

As you might know, Funderbeam recently launched a marketplace for equity based crowdfunding through syndication. Today, the Estonian startup Shipitwise became the first syndicate to reach it’s minimum investment interest goal of €100k, but they are still taking in investments up to their maximum of €250k.

The Funderbeam team stated, that they are super excited to see the success of Shipitwise. In the end, this was able due to the existence of the Funderbeam marketplace, but also because of the great job Shipitwise did in attracting interested investors.

Tallinn-based Shipitwise was founded in 2015 and makes sending stuff in long distance for businesses as easy as sending a text. With Shipitwise business customers can submit requests for shipping their stuff. The platform takes care of the rest: calculating the most efficient door-to-door route with our local and international logistics partners; arranging packaging and insurance.

Aleksander Gansen, the CEO of Shipitwise stated: “From the business-strategy point of view, our decision to raise with Funderbeam was absolutely logical. Shipitwise is a part of the new wave of sharing economy, creating a service for the masses. We are giving a free pass to international logistics network to common people and SME-s. In the same way, Funderbeam is giving everyone access to high profit investments.”

Funderbeam is creating not just a platform for fundraising, but also allows investors to trade their investments after the syndicate is formed. Using blockchain technology, investments can be traded fast and securely. The goal of funderbeam is to make early stage investing democratized and borderless. Crowdfunding allows us to lower the ticket size so anyone can afford to come on board, and trading makes it possible to sell your investment so you don’t have to wait for the company to be sold before getting your ROI.
