ProSiebenSat.1 Accelerator launches its second call for startup applications

The second round of ProSiebenSat.1’s startup programme is about to start soon. Startups are invited to submit their application for the ProSiebenSat.1 Accelerator until 15 July and qualify for the autumn programme, which will start on 1 September (Update – March 2023: The website seems to be out of use, and we therefore deactivated the original link).

Participating startups will undergo a structured, individualised coaching and mentoring programme. In addition, each startup will receives seed funding of €25K, office space at ProSiebenSat.1’s headquarters in Munich/Unterfoehring and access to the media company’s infrastructure. In return, ProSiebenSat.1 will receive a 5% equity stake in each company. Furthermore, one of the companies participating in the ProSiebenSat.1 Accelerator will be selected as a “wild card”, giving them the chance to present their business idea at the SevenVentures Pitch Day at NOAH Conference in London, where TV advertising time worth €7 million will be awarded.

The ProSiebenSat.1 Accelerator is looking for innovative founders with disruptive ideas in the fields of entertainment, digital media, e-commerce, or any other sector in which a business unit of ProSiebenSat.1 Group possesses in-depth expertise and knowledge of the market. The purpose of the programme is to foster the further development of innovative ideas, assist the startup companies with expertise, and successfully position their products in the market.

The companies participating in the first round of the P7S1 Accelerator, which started on 1 April 2013, are currently preparing their final presentations and pitches for internal board members and external investors. The startups from this first round (ampido, DreamaTV, get2play, Talentry, moosify and Tickethelden) already pitched their business ideas to more than 75 European investors at ProSiebenSat.1’s ‘Investors Day’ in early June.
