For quite some time now the European Union tried to remove barriers of the pan-European mail order. With a new policy, the EU-Parliament now wants to force online retailers to offer their goods in all 27 EU countries. If the new policy would be actually enforced, the online retailers would have to employ their terms and conditions with the local requirements of all 27 countries. For European online-shoppers this may be great. But this could make the online business especially for small companies risky. If some EU countries would not be supplied, the online retailer would have to expect penalties.
