Czech politician and member of the Renew Europe Group, MEP Ondrej Kovarik is on the committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs as well as a leading voice on the European Parliament Working Group on access to finance for SMEs.
In this episode, we were able to hear a politician’s perspective on the European startup ecosystem and learn about the connections between the public and private sectors when it comes to business and enterprise.
Ondrej is a firm believer in SMEs and how they can bolster the wider economic climate of Europe and he also advocates for greater collaboration across Europe. We discussed how innovation and funding can be shared across the continent to better distribute the continents’ economic strength, as well as how the Working Group is actively supporting pan-European collaboration and entrepreneurship.
We also discussed different EU policies, directives and plans to strengthen Europe’s startup ecosystem, creating resilience and what the future has for this community of business leaders and visionaries.
