WeAreDevelopers, one of Europe’s leading developer communities, announced it has raised a 7-figure investment from Round2 Capital. The funding will be used to catalyze the growth of the platform in the Netherlands and the UK.
Founded in 2017, the company’s career platform provides valuable tech content, perfect-fit job opportunities, and outstanding events throughout the year to support the professional and personal growth of developers.
Sead Ahmetović, CEO of WeAreDevelopers, underlined the importance of the funding for the international expansion: “We are thrilled to partner with Round2 Capital for our next phase of international expansion. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in our journey, setting the stage for us to further amplify our developer community’s growth and our impact on the tech industry at large.”
WeAreDevelopers creates substantial value for organizations looking to actively engage with software developers for recruitment or business development purposes and is used by numerous global brands such as Volkswagen, Red Hat, GitHub, Vodafone, ING, Dynatrace, Bosch, Canva, and Hugo Boss, among others.
The company achieved global recognition through hosting the WeAreDevelopers World Congress, the world’s leading annual event for developers, bringing together over 15,000 participants and 500 speakers.
Stefan Nagel, Managing Partner at Round2 Capital, commented on the investment: “We are excited to back WeAreDevelopers as they extend their reach into the Netherlands and the UK. Their development in the DACH region underscores their potential for success on the international stage. With software being core to our investment strategy, we believe in their vision for building a strong community and ecosystem in the development space, and are excited to be a part of the next phase of growth.”
