Tech Transfer: A premier side-event at the How to Web Conference (Sponsored)

The first edition of the Tech Transfer event, dedicated to technology transfer and cooperation between companies, public institutions, and academia, will take place on October 3 as part of the side events organized around the How to Web Conference.

The event will address the technology transfer process from research organizations to the private sector, in an attempt to turn inventions and scientific results into new products and services that are of benefit to society.

For sustainable economic growth, innovation needs to be at the heart of the start-up ecosystem, with technology transfer helping to bring disruptive technologies to market, creating new opportunities, attracting more investment from outside the region, and supporting revenue growth, giving companies a significant competitive advantage. This process will lead to the creation of highly skilled jobs, attract international talent, and put the Central and Eastern Europe region on the innovation global map.

The Tech Transfer event will bring together around 100 guests and is aimed at all the players in this ecosystem, from researchers from the universities and national R&D institutes, entrepreneurs and start-up founders, to specialists from companies and public institutions, to facilitate communication and collaboration in order to achieve as many technology transfer projects as possible together.

Tech Transfer is the place to share knowledge and discuss the challenges and opportunities of creating research-based products in the region.

Topics covered include:

  • New types of public policy for technology transfer.
  • Intellectual property and business development support tools for technology transfer.
  • Mechanisms for investing in technology transfer spin-off companies.
