100+ investors you will meet at this year’s EU-Startups Summit!

On April 20-21, 2023, we will be welcoming you to our annual EU-Startups Summit in Barcelona! This year, the event will be bigger and better than ever before and we’ll have lots of exciting speakers, panel discussions, networking activities, pitch competitions and much more. The EU-Startups Summit will gather over 2,000 founders, startup enthusiasts and investors for two days of networking, inspiration and learning.

In addition to our jam-packed agenda, we’ll also welcome over 300 investors at the event. Here, we introduce you to some of them:


Virginia Bassano
: VC investor focused on series A/B investments at Eight Roads, a global VC fund which supports entrepreneurs in scaling up based in London. Co-founder of DailyInternship a talent recruiting platform based in London started in 2018. 

Matt Cooper: Co-CEO at CrowdCube an equity crowdfunding platform based in England for investing in high growth opportunities across Europe through helping entrepreneurs to connect with potential investors. He has also advised companies like Monzo, Revoult and BrewDog.

Clara Martinez: Relationship Manager at ECBF a leading investment fund established in Luxembourg dedicated to growth-stage companies and projects within the European Bioeconomy. She has over 8 years of experience in project management and stakeholder engagement. 

Kai Thornagel: Director at Essity Ventures, a leading global company dedicated to improving Hygiene and well-being based in Stockholm started in 2017. He has previously worked at major FMCG players in marketing, sales, communications and digital roles.

Fredrik Stenman: CEO at Incubera a business incubator based in Örebro which provides the best conditions for accelerating companies, market network and access to private and public capital. He has extensive experience in business coaching and development.

Marisa Nzekwe: Vice President at Silicon Valley Bank a Global Commercial Bank fueling entrepreneurs, innovators and investors based in California. She is passionate about working with underrepresented groups and underserved markets in the tech ecosystem. 

Tomasz Perkowski: Deputy President at the Foundation for Polish Science that has been in operation since 1991 pursuing the mission of supporting science. He has been the Deputy President since December 2001. In 1997 he received a young scientist medal from the Szczecin Scientific Society.

Julin Gu: Board Member at China-US Technology Innovation Center (CUTIC) a non-profit organization based in Atlanta that organizes business ventures and match-making cooperation forums. He has over 18 years of experience for medical claims and payment processing. 

Rafal Koniecek: Chairman of the board at FNP ventures based in Poland which provides funds for startups through cooperating with VC funds. He is a lawyer with 15 years of experience in leading corporate law firms and working as a legal advisor while running his own law firm for 12 years.

David Evans: Managing Director at FairTree Elevant Ventures a Netherlands-based venture growth fund focusing on the industries being reshaped by consumer behaviour. He is an experienced investor passionate about creating a transformative impact through businesses. 

Eva-Jayne Doherty: Head of Operations at Raise Ventures, a venture capital firma and accelerator helping founders with scalable ideas. She is passionate about adding value to the entrepreneurial ecosystem both locally and globally.

Javier González-Soria: Managing Partner & Founder at Travel Tech 1 a Venture Capita based in Spain focused on Travel Tech early growth stage startups. He has 25 years of professional experience in Travel Tech, eMarketing, eCommerce, startups-innovation, and digital transformation. 

Henric Hungerhoff: Managing Director at APX a Berlin-based Venture Capital supporting the most ambitious pre-seed startups. He is passionate about early-stage founders. He founded The Venue Berlin, a hub for audio music. Before joining APX, he worked at Axel Springer as Chief of Staff.

Philipp Hauptmann: Investment Analyst at STS Ventures a Cologne-based early-stage Venture Capital concentrating on all business angel activities, typically investing in the pre-seed and seed stages. Philipp has gained international experience working and living in Indonesia.

Kieran Rafter: Investment Professional at Marlin Equity Partners, a global investment firm based in Los Angeles with an additional office in London. Prior to working at Marlin Equity, he worked in the investment banking division at Barclays. 

Alberto Uberti: Program Director at Fin+Tech a fintech and insurtech accelerator based in Milan and is born from an initiative of several companies. He has over 8 years of experience in IT and Financial Services, leading consulting firms and working for start-ups. 

Lina Chong: Partner at Target Global a pan-European technology investment firm based in Berlin investing in companies across all stages of their lifecycle. Lina at the beginning of her career operated two startups as an entrepreneur.  

Quentin Di Silvestro: Investment Analyst at NCA a pre-seed startup accelerator and investment fund based in Hamburg facilitating innovation through connecting startups with corporate entities. He is responsible for deal sourcing and evaluation of potential investment opportunities. 

Zina Alfa: Early Stage VC at Antler an investor backing the world’s most driven founders with 25 offices in different cities and six continents through launching and scaling potential startups. She is the CEO & Founder of UB Hair a marketplace app.

Emir Selimovic: CEO and Co-Founder of Dotbite a Vienna-based tech agency specializing in building scalable and user-friendly high-quality products. He is a Founding Partner at Boritea in addition to being the Co-Founder and Advisor at Timebite a student platform.  

Borja Breña: Principal at Nauta Capital a B2B Pan-European venture capital investing in early-stage technology companies with offices in London, Barcelona and Berlin. As a telecom engineer and an ICAEW’s Chartered Accountant, he has international experience in various fields.

Angelo Burgarello: Managing Partner at Look AI ventures a Prague-based investment fund that focuses on AI startups worldwide. It is built on the foundation of the AI Startup Incubator. He is an experienced Business Consultant, Business Coach and Startup’s business partner. 

Marc Badosa Rigau: Founding Partner at 4Founders Capital a VC based in Barcelona investing in European early-stage internet and technology-enabled businesses. He is experienced in venture capital and strategy consulting and has a track record of more than 45 private investments.

Dhiren Chatlani: Investment Director at Acytus a VC based in Madrid investing in Fintech and Latin America. He has a background in information Systems Operations Management (ISOM) and Global Business. Before joining Venture Capital, he founded Relendo.

Jakub Vizvari: Portfolio Manager at AI Startup Incubator an early-stage investor based in Prague focusing on startups implementing AI technology and supporting them at varying stages. He is a Master of Science Graduate with a specialization in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics and Bio-Business.

Ananya Manna: Investment Director at ECBF a leading investment fund established in Luxembourg dedicated to growth-stage companies and projects within the European Bioeconomy. She is an experienced investment professional in the agri-food-tech sector. 

Tanuj Dudeja: Senior Managing Consultant, Entrepreneur and Angel Investor. Over 20 years of experience across Technology Strategy and Advisory, Management Consulting, Digital Transformation & Innovation, Startup Consulting, Project delivery and M&A.

Pepe Borrell: Managing Director at CrowdCube an equity crowdfunding platform based in England for investing in high-growth opportunities across Europe. He personally advised over 150 companies to raise over 100 million euros from individual investors.

Jacopo Losso: Director General at EBAN a pan-European representative for the early-stage investor community established in 1999 with collaborations with the European Commission and EURADA. He tracks issues of strategic importance to the investing ecosystem.

Valentina Kostova: Investment Associate at BlackPeak Capital an Investment Management firm focusing on Southeast Europe. She has over 4 years of professional experience in providing financial advisory services including financial due diligence.

Christophe Primault: Venture Partner at Elaia a European venture capital based in Paris focused on digital & deep tech startups from early stage to growth development. He is a tech investor and founder of GetApp a recommendation engine for businesses now acquired by Gartner. 

Thomas TJ Jackson: Partner at GSD Venture Studios a VC based in California investing in teams through partnerships that ensure organizations grow the right way. He is a Professional matchmaker and relationship expert who offers coaching and training services.

Marcel Gatti: Principal at Acceneris, providing advisory services on B2B business expansion. Marcel has 14 years of experience as CEO of a global advanced materials company, is a member of multiple boards and acts as an angel investor with an emphasis on materials and circularity.

Kent Mosbech: CEO at Impellity a Business Consultancy Service based in London which drives entrepreneurs and leaders to grow and scale their businesses. He is a visionary leader who founded 8 business and serves as a board member for 10 businesses.

Helena Torras: Venture Partner and Investment Manager South Europe at Hans(wo)men Group a bunch of startups that share similar goals, values and the same Business Angel. She is a serial entrepreneur who has been a Board Director in Spain and the US with +13 years of experience.

Fernando Casado Cañeque: Co-Founder & General Partner at INCLIMO a Climate Tech Fund VC based in Barcelona that supports Climate Tech companies. He is the editor of the blog Seres Urbanos of Planeta Futuro at El Pais and the Director of the Global Network for the Base of the Pyramid. 

Nelli Orlova: CEO at InnMind a Global VC Ecosystem with the largest web3 startup community in Europe. She has worked with hundreds of startup teams and helped them to improve their business model and present their projects to investors. 

Jordi Vidal: Principal at Kibo Ventures a European early-stage VC based in Spain empowering diverse tech entrepreneurs. He joined in 2016 and prior to his joining he was an Operations and Strategy Manager at Deliberry a food delivery startup and a consultant at Odgers Odgers Berndtson.

Paulina Jänsch: Founding Partner at Leanox Impact Capital a Venture Capital and Private Equity Principal based in Essen, Germany, investing in people who make a difference specializing in seed funding and sustainability-driven startups.

Alexander Zemlyak: Principal & Head of Israel at Leta Capita invests in Late Seed and Series A tech startups globally. He has worked in venture capital for the past 8 years. He also serves as a board member in Israel-based Qmarkets and closed investment deals with various companies.

Adriana Freitas: Partner, Fund Raising and Ecosystem Director at Muster Ventures a Venture Capital and Private Equity Principal based in Barcelona & San Francisco supporting Tech Driven Companies. She has been an impact strategy and exponential business visionary for half of her life.

Giancarlo Vergine: Founder & Managing Partner at Over Ventures an advisory boutique based in Milan that supports startups and small companies in growing their business. He has over 11 years of experience and has helped accelerate more than 150 startups and growing companies.

Birgit Reinhofer-Mitterer: Innovation/Transformation at Raiffeisen-Landesbank Steiermark an Austrian bank with more than 70,000 customers. With a background in organisational development, she reached an all-time high engagement level in Raiffeisen-Landesbank Steiermark innovation challenge.

Rune Theill: CEO & Co-Founder at RockStart an early-stage investor based in Amsterdam that invests and supports startups within the domains of Energy, Emerging Tech and AgriFood. He is an experienced entrepreneur who creates accelerator programs and mentor-based programs.

Carmen Sebe: Managing Partner & CEO at Seed Blink a pan-European network and tech-powered investing platform that helps individuals and institutions to invest in European tech startups. She is a Technology industry executive with extensive experience with new products and markets. 

Anthony Rose: Founder & CEO at SeedLegals a London-based platform automating tasks to transform the way businesses raise investments by cutting down the time and expense companies use on lawyers. He is the founder of Beamly, 6Trives, QJAM and the man behind the BBC iPlayer.

Kirsty Grant: Managing Director at Seedrs a crowdfunding company based in London, it makes it easier for you to invest whether you are a customer, casual investor, Angel or VC from as little as £10. Before joining Seedrs she worked at Freshfields focusing on mergers and acquisitions. 

Nicole Velho: Founding Partner at Sie Ventures a capital platform and investor supporting the most promising female founders with the goal of closing the gender funding gap. She is the former Co-Founder of a B2B EdTech startup in Africa, VP in investment banking and now leads Sie investments.

Andreas Spechtler: Founder and CEO at Silicon Castles a Business Accelerator for Startups in Europe transforming ideas into intellectual property. He has more than 28 years of experience and has operations in Europe, the US, Russia, Africa and the Middle East. 

Fabian Thylmann: Owner of SN Invests an Investment Company aiming to support founders in developing their businesses, focusing on early-stage investments. He built Manwin, an adult entertainment company, he sold Manwin in 2013 after expanding it to 1200+ employees in 7 locations. 

Joe Seager-Dupuy: Director, Investment at True an investment management firm based in London growing consumer businesses through investment. He is responsible for leading True’s Growth fund and supporting early-stage brands.

Eric Weber: CEO and Founder at SpinLab a Startup Accelerator program for early-phase startups. The HHL Accelerator supports entrepreneurial teams in growing and creating innovative businesses. He is a Startup expert, who founded and supported over 100 startups. 

Cristobal Alonso: Global CEO & El Patron at Startup Wise Guys a global accelerator fund for B2B startup founders solving key challenges at every stage. He is an experienced serial Entrepreneur with more than 240 investments, Global Executive, and a three times CEO. 

Marta Zaccagnini: Senior Manager at Village Capital an NGO reinventing the system to back the entrepreneurs of the future, supporting over 1,400 startups. She is working on low- and middle-income communities in Europe, or migrant and refugee communities globally.

Alona Belinska: Lead Project Manager at Startup Wise Guys a global accelerator fund for B2B startup founders solving key challenges at every stage. She is the Co-Founder of Bare Walls Print an original art shop offering high-quality photography and digital art prints.

Michael Freidl: Spin-Off Business Development & Innovation Manager at startup-uni an incubation program based in Graz acting as a point of contact for all founders. He supervises and coordinates the technology transfer. 

Ivo Ronner: Investment Manager at Swiss Post Ventures a Venture Capital firm based in Bern investing in early-stage companies in Switzerland and abroad. He is a Venture Capitalist, Advisor, Board Member, and founder of Ronner Ventures Ltd. 

Marcin Lewandowski: Investment Team at Techstars, an early-stage VC and accelerator acting as a worldwide network helping entrepreneurs succeed through access to capital and mentorship. He has a passion for entrepreneurship and innovation and curiosity about startups and new technologies. 

Martin Jarc: Innovation alchemist at Transformation Lighthouse a company offering professional training and coaching through on-location and online hackathons and start-up scouting. He worked and co-founded startups and is always in contact with upcoming blockchain solutions. 

Catherine Ogilvie: Strategic Marketing Advisor at Silicon Castles a Business Accelerator for Startups in Europe transforming ideas into intellectual property. She has over 35 years in Global Marketing and Communications. She globally assists boards and CEOs.

Yechiel Lanzkron: Principle Consultant at Unorthodox Ventures a VC based in Texas partnering with founders who create solutions to real world problems. He is an experienced Manager with history in working in the services industry, technology, and information.

Uwe Gerlinger: Managing Director at Vector Venture Capital an independent VC based in Stuttgart focusing on Early Stage Startups with a focus on B2B SW/HW. Before founding Vector Venture Capital, he previously worked at otego GmbH as a Deputy Chairman of the Board.

Semme Kaandorp: VC Investor at Holland Capital an independent private equity firm based in Amsterdam investing in small and medium-sized Dutch and German businesses realizing over 160 investments. Prior to joining he was a Working Student AI & Data at Deloitte Consulting. 

Nina Alastruey: Investment Director at Demium Capital an international VC focusing on International Pre-seed and Seed startups. She is an experienced tech entrepreneur advising companies on strategies with background in companies and public governments. 

Michał Papuga: Investment Associate at Flashpoint Venture Capital an international technology investment firm managing venture equity, debt, and secondary funds with over $450m assets under management, investing in western software companies.

Tomer Strikovsky: Investment Manager at ETF Partners a VC based in London supporting talented entrepreneurs promoting sustainability through innovation. He is passionate about working with purpose-driven and impact native founders.

Petra Hudeček Končelíková: General Partner & MD of Acceleration at Nation 1 VC, based in Prague the firm investing in seed-stage startups.  She single-handedly put over 350 pre-seed startups on the growth trajectory and invested in over 20 startups in CEE.

Matt Wohlmuth: Managing Director at Coding Sans a web developing company based in Budapest creating serverless web and cross-platform mobile applications since 2013. He is the co-founder of 12MIN.ME that hosts more than 800 events, 100k guests in 40+ cities worldwide.

Miquel Costa Planas: President and CEO at Keiretsu Forum Spain an investment management firm based in Barcelona allowing companies to present their business proposals to capital investment via forums. He is the President and CEO at Foro Capital Pymes. 

Rohit Bhosale: Venture Partner at Momenta an industry venture capital accelerating digital innovators making over 50 investments. He is an experienced executive with a global mindset excelling at partnering with startups or established corporates to create value. 

Iker Zabalza: Partner at Dextra Corporate a services boutique based in Barcelona specializing in corporate finance advisory services providing M&A services, Asset Management and Venture Capital Investments founded in 2012. He has more than 15 years of experience in corporate finance.

Dmitry Chikhachev: Managing Partner at Runa Capital a VC based in Luxembourg serving as an international venture fund investing in the Series A stage both in Europe and the USA. He has more than 23 years of international executive experience and has led many early-stage investments.

Francesc Bach: Founder & Managing Partner at Barcelona Ventures Silicon Valley a European-based accelerator providing mentorship and networking for startups. He has over 15 years of experience in financial and management positions with an executive MBA.

Alix Brunet Nazir: Principal at MassMutual Ventures a venture capital investing in enterprise SaaS, fintech, cybersecurity and digital health companies. She focuses on Fintech and enterprise SaaS investments across Europe. Prior to joining she was a VP at Citi Ventures.

Marcin Kurek: Managing Partner at Market One Capital a Pan-European VC investing in early-stage digital platforms and SaaS and marketplaces. He worked at startups between 2004 and 2008 and founded his own marketplace business in 2008.

Laura Gelheut: Marketing & PR at Cusp Capital a VC firm based in Germany investing in early-stage software and technology companies. She is a highly motivated Marketing Manager with experience in PR, Social Media and event organization.

Piotr Godzinski: Sales and Partnerships Director EMEA at Techstars – a early-stage VC helping companies grow through accelerator programs, ecosystem development programs, community events and corporate innovation. He is also the Co-Founder of Lizza.

Alina Klarner: Head of Ventures at Impact Shakers a global impact ecosystem tackling complex societal challenges through inclusive entrepreneurship. She has been featured in Forbes for her contribution to investing in diverse founders.

Maria Rodideal: Operations Manager at mediaforgrowth an equity advisory firm and global network of media investors investing in Series A to pre-IPO media capital fundraising. She is also an innovation associate at Wolves Summit.

Oleg Malenkov: Partner at TA ventures a VC firm investing in early-stage companies in Europe and North America at Pre-Seed and Seed in tech sectors. He Co-founded Concepter a hardware company along with being the producer of the award-winning photography products sold by Apple.

Christian Beck: Investment Team at Vorwerk Ventures a VC fund of  € 150m headquartered in Berlin investing in Seed/Series A investments. Prior to joining Vorwerk Ventures, he was a visiting analyst at Apeiron Investment Group.

Ivana Perić: Acceleration Manager at Silicon Castles a Business Accelerator for startups in Europe transforming ideas into intellectual property and scalable products. She is responsible for startup scouting and managing the Global Acceleration Program.

Rebecca Sjödin: Co-Founder and Principle at node.vc a VC based in Stockholm investing in early stage technology startups. She has extensive experience in the financial industry both as advisor and investor in addition to founding her own company supporting founders.

Raushan Kretzschmar: General Partner at Leanox Impact Capital a Venture Capital and Private Equity Principal based in Essen. Experienced financier, worked with multiple top 100 global banks as lead finance originator in multiple sectors.

Olga Voronovich: IT & Corporate lawyer, and Legal team lead at Platinum.fund – an Australia-based investment firm with over 250 Angels and Investors. She has global experience in the public sector and international law.

Giselle Borg Olivier: Manager at Zaar Crowdfunding Malta a financial resources provider through crowd funding means operated by P.E.I. Ltd. She has +15 years of experience in marketing communications and strategy.

Céline Herry: Founder Associate Program at Atlantic Labs – a pan-European Pre-Seed VC firm that is headquartered in Berlin and focusing on AI & data, mobility & logistics, industrial automation, fintech, and proptech.

Sara Trontelj: Program Director at RecAp, an accelerator program with the purpose of easing the green shift of construction and real estate sectors. She has over 6 years of experience including international experience including Silicon Valley.

Lise Pape: Board Trustee at Future Care Capital a London-based independent charity shaping the future of health and social care investing in innovative enterprises which address major healthcare needs through our Future Care Capital Innovation Fund.

Benedikt Kronberger: Partner at Matterwave Ventures, a European VC focused on early-stage hardware and software companies in the Industrial Tech space. Prior to his current role, he was one of the partners in the btov Industrial Technologies team.

Gaia Amatteis: COO & Head of Program at SpinLab, an innovation hub for technology-oriented startups based in Hannover. The program lasts between three to twelve months and get a financial grant of up to € 50.000 in exchange for no equity.
