Johnny Quach, the CPO/CMO at Hostelworld, will speak at this year’s EU-Startups Summit!

On April 20-21 we’ll be hosting this year’s EU-Startups Summit in Barcelona! Our annual flagship event will gather over 2,000 founders, startup enthusiasts and investors for two exciting days of networking, inspiration and learning. And we can’t wait to welcome you there.

In addition to a buzzing exhibition hall, great networking opportunities, and an exciting pitch competition, we’ll also have two stages where you’ll be able to learn from over 70 speakers and listen to educational and inspiring talks by internationally successful founders.

Today, we’re very excited to share another inspiring speaker who’ll be joining us: Johnny Quach, the CPO/CMO at Hostelworld! Johnny will give an interesting talk on ‘how to achieve growth in challenging times’ – something every entrepreneur should be listening to in 2023.

Hostelworld is one of the world’s most familiar traveltech brands, offering hostel accommodation options and hostel-focused group adventure products in over 180 countries worldwide. In 2022 Hostelworld repositioned itself as a Social Network for travellers with a mission to “Help Travellers meet people to hang out with”. In his role as CPO/CMO, Johnny chartered Hostelworld through a global pandemic which decimated global travel, shifted the company culture to growth thinking, and returned the companies revenue back to pre-crisis. As CPO/CMO, Johnny leads a variety of functional areas including Product, Growth, Social, Marketing and Design.

Prior to joining the pioneering travel brand, he was at Berlin-based AirHelp, a Y Combinator startup from 2014, where he helped scale the company from 400 to 800 people while creating over 400% growth in his 3 years there. It wasn’t his first startup success – Johnny also gained experience at Rocket Internet where he launched three companies in 8 countries in the span of 6 months. Alongside his entrepreneurial positions, Johnny actively invests in and advises startups (including Faircado and Orbify), helping young companies become resourceful and more intuitive. He certainly has had an impressive, fast-paced career and we can’t wait to hear his insights!

Make sure to secure your ticket today and join us there. To learn more about the event, and the other wonderful speakers taking part, check out our dedicated event page, and enjoy the video below, which will give you some insights into what’s to come.
