Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Berlin, Ecosia is a truly social enterprise – a  ‘search engine for good’ which uses big parts of its ad revenues to plant trees all over the world. Already more than 130 million trees have been planted with Ecosia’s help.

Ecosia already counts over 15 million active users and is available in many different languages. Christian Kroll and his team bootstrapped Ecosia to become the leading search engine with its headquarters in Europe. A truly inspiring story! But listen for yourself:
