Delivery Hero, one of the world’s leading local delivery platforms, today announced the launch of DX Ventures, an independently managed early-stage venture capital fund with a focus on investing in disruptive founder-led companies.
DX Ventures currently has initial capital of €50 million to deploy globally and is fully funded by Delivery Hero SE. The fund has a broad mandate to invest across a wide variety of industries, including on-demand services, food technology, sustainable innovation, artificial intelligence, fintech and logistics.
Delivery Hero SE, the company behind the new venture capital firm, was founded in 2011 in Berlin by Niklas Östberg, and is currently the largest global food network (outside of China), operating in 40+ markets and over 600+ cities, via a number of local brands. The team has grown into a company with 27K+ person team, with around 1.5K employees in their Berlin HQ alone. Delivery Hero is listed on the Frankfurt stock exchange and became part of the leading index DAX (Deutscher Aktienindex) in 2020.
