Andrea Scotti Calderini, CEO of Freeda Media, will join the EU-Startups Summit to talk about how new generations consume media

On the 29th-30th April 2021, we’re hosting the 7th edition of the EU-Startups Summit in Barcelona – will you join us? This 2-day event will give you the chance to meet over 1,500 participants (founders, startup enthusiasts, corporates, angel investors, VCs, and media), learn from 70+ expert speakers, take part in workshops with internationally successful founders, network (via our app!) and bite your nails through our exciting pitch competition.

Today we are excited to announce a new speaker: Andrea Scotti Calderini, CEO and co-founder of Freeda Media. At the EU-Startups Summit, he will join us on the main stage to share his insights from Freeda Media about “How new generations are consuming media and interacting with today’s important issues”.

You’ve probably heard of Freeda Media if you care about female representation, storytelling, or creative content creation. If not, let us have the pleasure of introducing you to this Frida Kahlo inspired brand. Freeda is a media brand whose mission is to spread real women’s stories to inspire positive change, with 6 million women engaging everyday, and 150 million monthly. Andrea has built this community from scratch since 2016, from Milan where it all started, and is now managing a team of 200+ people across Italy, Spain and the UK. Making the decision to create content primarily on social media, where the new generations spend most of their time nowadays, Andrea has catapulted Freeda into being the #1 global female media brand on Instagram, for engagement and interactions.

Andrea will join us to share his experience of what kinds of content new generations want to read about, share and interact with, as well as how they are using media to propel forward social and political movements like female representation. As diversity starts to take more of a centre stage position in our collective consciousness, we’re really inspired to find out the key learnings of Freeda, and we hope you are too.

If you’d like to join us, there’s still time to secure your ticket to the EU Startups Summit 2021 in sunny Barcelona. Get inspired by our video below, or check out our information here (to be updated on a weekly basis). We look forward to seeing you there!
