EU-Startups Summit: The Future of Airbnb Management & Short-Term Rentals – a panel discussion with GuestReady, AirSorted and Homelike

On the 28th-29th of May 2020, we’re hosting the 7th edition of the EU-Startups Summit in Barcelona. At our annual flagship event you’ll have the chance to connect with over 1,500 founders, startup enthusiasts, corporates, angel investors, VCs, and the media, learn from 70+ expert speakers, take part in workshops with internationally successful founders, network (via our app!) and bite your nails through our exciting pitch competition.

Today we are excited to announce a new panel discussion which will handle a rather hot topic at the moment: “The Future of short-term apartments rental and Airbnb management”.

Joining us for this chat will be 3 experts who co-founded Europe’s leading Airbnb and housing management startups: Those are GuestReady’s CEO Alexander Limpert, Homelike’s CEO Dustin Figge, and AirSorted’s CEO James Jenkins-Yates.

Guestready-logoGuestReady is a tech-enabled short-term rental management company operating in fifteen cities across Europe and Asia. Founded in 2016, the startup works with property owners and professional investors and takes care of all required processes to run short-term rentals such as price management, guest communication, check-in and linen services. GuestReady was named one of the top 10 startups in the UK in 2019 and won the 2018 Serviced Apartment Awards as the best service provider. GuestReady manages a portfolio of 2,000 properties which it rents through platforms such as Airbnb, Booking.com or its own website and has sold over 300,000 nights to guests.

Homelike-logoHomelike is the largest European marketplace for corporate housing where business travelers can rent furnished temporary apartments for one month or longer in just a few clicks, making the process as simple as booking a hotel room. Homelike boasts more than 50,000 fully furnished apartments across 100+ cities in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Spain and the UK. Founded in 2015, the fast-growing startup works with landlords, requiring them to provide 10 standards such as professional invoices, high-speed wifi and direct contact with the owner.

Airsorted-logoAirsorted is one the world’s largest Airbnb management companies. The startup’s mission is to make home-sharing hassle-free by marketing homes and looking after guests for landlords, overall increasing property yields and taking care of everything. Services for landlords include guest communication, handling key exchange, cleaning, laundry, pricing and even reviews. Founded in 2015, the London-based startup is operational in over 20 cities, including a new expansion to the US, and has already generated more than €115 million in bookings for its hosts.

During the panel discussion at this year’s EU-Startups Summit, we’ll talk about the challenges facing the Airbnb and short-rental market at the moment, such as the effect on local homeowners, as well as what those three entrepreneurs and industry experts expect for the foreseeable future.
