RESPONSIBILITIES

You will play a key role in allowing us to create value from our clients' data efficiently by working on the Data Science end of the Solution Engineering team.

Specifically, you will :

  • Facilitate the onboarding of new clients from a data science point of view, building on a deep understanding of our clients' problems and our core algorithms
  • Participate in the development of processes and features that allows us to create value from data and / or automate processes using modern statistics and machine learning (e.g., developing clustering and prediction algorithms, statistical model evaluation metrics, and more)
  • Develop deep domain expertise in modern revenue management
  • Assist with high-priority operational requests that may involve quick data analyses or scripting
  • Potentially supervise junior team members

REQUIREMENTS

You are a curious and interested mind seeking with an interest in commercial insights and a strong background in (social) data science.

  • Eagerness to learn and have an impact from Day 1
  • Completed master’s degree in the field of economics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or a related area from a leading university
  • At least basic experience in leveraging modern statistics or machine learning to create value from data (or a willingness to grow fast)
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment like consulting or high-growth startups is a plus
  • Intermediate experience with Python, MATLAB, R, or a similar modern programming language. Any deeper programming knowledge is a plus
  • Passion and persistence for complex problem solving
  • A strategic foresight and well-founded insights into prevailing market conditions
  • High level of personal initiative and very good strategic and analytical skills
  • Good verbal and written English (German is a plus)
