What you will do :

Contribute to an ongoing publication schedule of consumer and industry insight across key markets, categories and trends, primarily through the authoring of content, but also using data visualization and data modelling techniques.

The majority of analysis comes in the form of written reports published in PowerPoint, as well as briefer case studies and "expert views".

  • As a Graduate Analyst, Associate Analyst, or Analyst, you will be given early responsibility for producing your own content with guidance from a manager, and you will be expected to demonstrate a capacity to continually increase your analytical skillset and knowledge of the FMCG, Foodservice, and Packaging Industries.
  • With the support of your manager and other experienced members of the team, you will also work up to being on the front line of representing GlobalData to our customers via regular calls and meetings with key client contacts to bring them up to speed on our latest research or help them with insights into their own research projects.
  • There will also be opportunities to contribute to projects such as primary research design, or bespoke deliverables for clients, as well as to present insights to clients or at industry events.

The goal is to maintain and enhance GlobalData Consumer’s reputation as a provider of exceptional insight, helping the business decisions of hundreds of clients, ranging from start-ups to blue-chip companies.

What you will bring :

  • Self-starter, detail-oriented with strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Educated to degree level
  • An ability to analyze key issues, threats, and trends across the FMCG sector
  • An understanding of macro issues, demographic trends, and economic measures and how they impact the consumer and foodservice value chains, and consumer behavior
  • Commercial acumen and an ability to identify growth opportunities for clients
  • Experience of producing market analysis (such as manipulating and analyzing data and producing meaningful insight) is desirable
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to present confidently and converse fluently with client audiences is desirable
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and within a team
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite and Project Management frameworks
