Description
We are looking for a motivated DevOps Engineer with AWS experience to join our team. You will help setup new infrastructure parts and help maintain existing systems. Experience is awesome, but we are happy to take on a learner as long as you are comfortable working with AWS production systems.
Our team is structured on a remote setup. Our core team is located in Berlin, but we are happy to take people from all over!

Minimum 1-2 years experience with AWS technologies. Especially EC2, RDS, ELB, S3, IAM, Route53, CloudWatch

Should be able to to develop and maintain an Amazon AWS based cloud solution, with an emphasis on best practice cloud security

Experience in at least one other cloud service like GoogleCloud, Azure, etc

Experience with self hosted infrastructures and a good working knowledge with Linux based systems

Capability to write scripts for ETL processes and system automation in either Bash, Python, Ruby etc

Good understanding of database systems, especially PostgreSQL

Understanding network topologies and common network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP)

Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g. Nagios etc)

Ability to setup and maintain deployment pipelines and automated testing processes

Good verbal and written English communication skills (German is a plus but absolutely no must)

An eagerness to learn and teach new disciplines, methodologies, stay up to date with the community and develop best practices

Ability to use Git and experience with Jira project management software or similar
