The Role
Fun is at the heart of what this company does.
The data department is currently expanding they need three new Data Engineers at varied levels of experience to help them with the massive data-sets they have, you’ll have tonnes of data to have fun with.
Some exciting projects include migrating over to Apache Airflow and taking lead of the data processing side of the business if you are a Senior.
If you’re not ready to take the lead on projects, don’t worry they create an amazing environment to develop and upskill.
Day to day you will creating Airflow jobs for continuous ingestion from various sources and API, upgrading the data warehouse pipelines & infrastructure.
You will also be responsible for exporting client databases and merging data from different sources.
Essentially the role will be a bit of a hybrid between a Data Engineer and Database Administrator, so you’ll have the opportunity to diversify and expand your knowledge further.
Data Engineer Role Requirements:
- Good programming skills (Python is a plus but not necessary)
- Cloud Knowledge ideally GCP (but they can be flexible)
- Good database design, NoSQL / SQL knowledge is required
- Knowledge of Airflow is a massive plus
- Experience with ETL Pipelines or Batch data pipelines is required
