CRO Job description: In this Chief Revenue Officer and Co-founder opportunity in London, you will work closely with the founder to develop and implement a commercial growth strategy. Ideally you will have knowledge of the outdoor building industry. We are looking for someone with the drive and experience to build an effective sales and marketing operation and deliver our new growth targets. There is Co-Founder equity available for the right candidate.  Working with the founder you will develop and implement the sales and marketing strategy, rolling up your sleeves and adopting a proactive and pragmatic approach. As the business continues to grow you will determine the appropriate size and structure of the commercial team, hiring, mentoring and leading a team of sales and marketing executives.

 

We are looking for a proactive leader who has demonstrated success dealing with ambiguity, operating in a high-growth environment, managing high-performing teams and solving problems with limited oversight. Ideal candidates will have experience growing sales and marketing from the ground up, managing a sales and marketing team, and will possess first-class analytical, communication and relationship-building skills. Key responsibilities: In the role of CRO your responsibilities will be hands on and growing a team that includes: Responsible for building and managing Sales & Marketing function and team. Co-create and implement “go to market” Sales & Marketing strategy. Responsible for achieving agreed growth targets. Co-creating and implementing Marketing strategy to generate interest and leads. Outbound sales activity to generate new leads/customers through order or signed contract. Price setting and testing, in collaboration with the CEO. Analytical and Data-driven decisions driven to deliver growth. Sales and Marketing reporting to the Board. Site Visits and Demos. Respond to enquiries and RFPs. Feedback and contribute to product roadmap and company strategy. Brand and Product evangelist.

 

Job Requirements: This is a Co-Founder role and we’re looking for an entrepreneurial mindset and a demonstrable overachiever. Minimum of 5 Years’ Sales & Marketing experience with direct customer contact B2C, B2B and B2B2C. Minimum of 3 Years’ experience managing Sales & Marketing teams. A robust network of contacts and decision makers in the outdoor building sector would be advantageous. Self-starter who has net new business experience and consistently overachieves Sales & Marketing targets. Demonstrate expert knowledge and leadership in this sector. Understand and communicate our product and the business benefits. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Thoughtful and questioning, listening and understanding of your clients’ business needs and challenges. Show responsibility, flexibility, imagination and creativity. Comfortable operating in a more fluid environment: this is a fairly early-stage business and this means you'll be happy to have input into projects outside of the ordinary scope of your role. Ideally London based or up to 1 hour commute. Demonstrate commitment to continual learning.
