Role:
- Providing advice and support on the provision of new products and services in Germany
- Drafting legal documentation for internal stakeholders, senior management and regulatory authorities
- Working collaboratively with Legal colleagues, other business and Corporate stakeholders in multiple jurisdictions
We are looking for a
- German qualified lawyer, with at least 5 years post-qualification experience in a top law firm and / or in-house financial services Legal team
- Broad knowledge of law and regulations governing the provision of banking and investment products and services in Germany to retail consumers
- Quality product, technical, legal and other risk awareness skills and an ability to work across a broad set of products and services
- Strong knowledge of ECB / BaFin supervisory regime for German authorised credit institutions and investment firms
Previous experience in the following areas will help in this role
- bull; Banking products and associated banking / payments regulation (CRD IV, PSD II, KWG, ZAG)
- bull; Retail investment services and associated regulation (MiFID, WpHG, DepotG)
- bull; Working in or advising a German credit institution, preferably in relation to consumer services
- bull; Advising on changes of control or other applications / interactions with regulators, including BaFin
- bull; Experience of advising clients who operate digital service delivery channels
