The Copenhagen-based healthtech startup Cerebriu was founded in 2018. Its mission? To develop machine learning in medical imaging that improves workflow efficiency and quality in radiology. In 2020, the ambitious team, which has links to the University of Copenhagen, extended its focus in order to create artificial intelligence models to predict the need for intensive and respiratory needs of COVID-19 patients, landing a number of seed funding rounds (about €3 million in total) to accelerate its progress.
