AquaInSilico, Lda is a spin out company from Portugal’s NOVA University, which develops digital intelligence management tools for municipal and industrial wastewater utilities. Our expertise is focused on bioprocess engineering, process modelling and simulation, process control and optimization.
The AquaInSilico digital tools were designed by gathering more than 30 years of research and experience on waste and wastewater treatment and valorization via biological and biochemical processes. It helps utilities to increase process efficiency, by decreasing the amount of pollutants discharged into the environment, to reduce the plant OPEX, by reducing chemical dosage, energy consumption and waste disposal, and to generate revenues from new by-products.
How? The AquaInSilico algorithms are able to monitor the biological key performance parameters in real time, diagnose the biological process disturbances with reliable operational settings and estimate the operational costs and waste valorization indicators.
