Phaseform is a recently founded spin-off from the Department of Microsystems Engineering (IMTEK) of the University of Freiburg in Germany.

We are a highly-motivated team of experienced engineers, scientists, business- and marketing experts offering a new and unique way of conducting adaptive optics for the life- and vision sciences.

  • Tasks Designing and developing a robust interfacing software / hardware back-end for optical imaging systems* Developing software compatibility layers for existing scientific- and industrial imaging platforms* Creating interactive GUIs with a smooth UX, and the software API for the users* Providing user support and training* Documentation and writing operations- and user manuals* Interacting with customers on new applications*Requirements You should have An MS / PhD in science and / or engineering, or 3+ years related experience, particularly in the field of optical engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience* Knowledge of the basic principles of optical imaging systems* Experience using high-resolution scientific and / or industrial imaging systems* Expertise in hardware programming, interfacing and -control;

in particular HW interfacing, image acquisition / processing, visualization, UI / UX design and development* Fluency with image acquisition- and control software, e.

g.
