Paris-based Sorella secures €5 million to further strenght its hybrid healthcare offering for female health

Just 1 year after the opening of its first multidisciplinary health clinic, female health startup Sorella has closed a €5 million funding round to help improve female health in France and beyond. The funding round was led by blisce/, Vorwerk Ventures joined the round. blisce/, is a certified B Corp impact investment firm for which investment goes hand in hand with social and environmental responsibility. Vorwerk Ventures is a Berlin-based, independent VC, focusing on the future of health, as well as, food and climate, with a track record in investing in hybrid health. 

Sorella will use the fresh funding to further strengthen its coordinated care offering, enhance its digital platform and expand its network of multidisciplinary health clinics for women to significantly accelerate its development in France. 3 new clinics will open in 2024 to reach a dozen across France by 2026.

Founded in 2022 by Clémence Lejeune, Jeanne Theuret, and Youssef Benhaddou, Sorella is a network of multidisciplinary health spaces dedicated to women. It allows every woman to have access to a comprehensive care pathway, provided by healthcare professionals specializing in women’s health, regardless of their age, from puberty to post-menopause.

Sorella’s hybrid care system integrates the performance of new technological solutions to simplify the workflow for healthcare professionals and improve the healthcare pathway. These digital solutions also facilitate information sharing to patients, prevention and health screenings that are key to improving women’s health. In a Sorella clinic, up to 10,000 patients can be welcomed each year.

Today, 32% of women in France report feeling anxious about managing their health (compared to 20% of men). Women not only need to have access to comprehensive healthcare, but they are also entitled to demand that their specific physical and physiological needs be taken into account.

We are convinced that the pluridisciplinary approach and the hybrid model that allies physical and digital will enable Sorella to reinvent women’s health with a significant and wide impact.
