French device-as-a-service startup Fleet launches in Germany to optimise workplace equipment lifecycle

The French work equipment all-in-one solution Fleet is expanding and entering the German market from Berlin. The B2B startup offers companies a comprehensive device-as-a-service (DaaS) for computers, phones, tablets, accessories, and office furniture.

Fleet organises more than the mere procurement of the devices: the service includes management, maintenance, exchange, repair, insurance, user management and mobile device management (MDM) – all of which are managed from the same platform.

Fleet’s main target group is companies and startups with five to 500 employees. For these, Device-as-a-Service with a fixed and transparent monthly subscription is particularly worthwhile, as they are growing rapidly and often only have a small or no IT department –especially since there is currently no provider for this customer group that solves the problem (office equipment as well as management, maintenance, replacement, repair, insurance, user administration and mobile device management) holistically and bundled.

Co-Founder & CEO Alexandre Berriche, emphasised: “Our goal is to become the leading office operating system for SMEs and startups in Europe. Our entry into Germany, with its broad-based SME sector and simultaneously large startup universe, should give us a significant boost in achieving this goal.”

Hans-Peter Frank, Fleet’s Country Manager, is responsible for the expansion into Germany. Frank began his career in 2021 at Berlin-based FinTech Pliant, where he successfully managed the company’s entry into Germany and seven other European markets.

Country Manager Hans-Peter Frank, said: “Fleet’s vision is to optimise the entire lifecycle of workplace equipment – from rental to management to renewal. By freeing companies from complex processes, they can fully focus on their core activities. Plus, we renew equipment every three years, so customers always stay efficient and reduce repair costs.”

The more than 1,000 Fleet customers include Sumup, Personio, Pliant, BCG, Flink and Hive. Business partners also include renowned VCs such as Lakestar, Merantix, Techstars, Visionaries Club and Earlybird Venture Capital, whose startups benefit from the Fleet offering.

The European market for Device-as-a-Service is the largest and most developed in Germany. In addition, Alexandre Berriche, CEO and co-founder of Fleet, maintains close ties to Germany: he has made several prominent angel investments here. Berriche is also a limited partner in leading startup funds in Germany, including Visionaires and Puzzle Ventures. Last but not least, he made early contacts in this country through his time at Rocket Internet. Berriche is one of France’s most active business angels and a Sequoia scout.

The startup is currently present in France and Spain. Fleet is completely self-financed (bootstrapping) and generated a double-digit million turnover last year. The company was founded in Paris in 2019, and entered Spain in 2022 and Germany in 2023.
