Milan-based Jet HR raises €4.7 million in one of Italy’s largest pre-seed rounds aiming to revolutionise HR management

Jet HR, a new all-Italian startup headquartered in Milan has emerged as a new promising solution for HR management for businesses in Italy. Founded by Marco Ogliengo, former founder of a tech company, and Francesco Scalambrino, a seasoned software manager in unicorn companies, Jet HR aims to tackle the challenges of bureaucratic personnel management through the power of technology.

Recognising the potential of their innovative approach, many of Italy’s most successful entrepreneurs and innovators have rallied behind Jet HR. This warm support has enabled the company to close a record-breaking €4.7 million pre-seed round, one of the largest ever raised in the Italian market. Leading the investment round are Exor Ventures and Italian Founders Fund, alongside renowned personalities such as Luca Ascani, Dario Brignone, Alberto Dalmasso, Max Ciociola, Luca Ferrari, Luca Foresti, Diego Piacentini, Matteo Pichi, Giorgio Tinacci, and other angel investors who have played pivotal roles in international technology companies.

The fast-growing startup has one clear vision: to eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy and complexity by creating a streamlined employee management technological platform. Jet HR aims to unify administrative tasks, IT operations, employee and freelancer management, and simplify labour law concepts. By providing entrepreneurs and managers with the tools to handle administrative activities, such as payroll management, and hiring employees and independent contractors, Jet HR empowers businesses of all sizes—from startups to larger companies—to enhance efficiency and effectively manage their growth.

The platform automates payroll processing, issuing, and archiving. With a user-friendly interface, it provides access to detailed employee information, labour cost simulations, contract management, and other essential HR functions. Moreover, Jet HR goes beyond payroll management, serving as a one-stop shop for all administrative tasks. This includes facilitating the rental and delivery of PCs for employees, booking medical examinations, enrolling employees in safety courses, and other mandatory processes. Jet HR also supports client companies by providing partner labour consultants.

Jet HR extends its benefits to employees and contractors as well. Through a simple mobile app, they can request vacation days, submit expense reports, and access other features that enhance transparency and streamline the relationship between employers and their workforce. With its comprehensive features and commitment to simplifying HR management, Jet HR is poised to transform the way businesses in Italy operate, making administrative processes more fluid, clear, and transparent for everyone involved.

Reflecting on the journey that led to the creation of Jet HR, Marco Ogliengo, CEO, and co-founder, commented: “As an entrepreneur, I have experienced the typical frustration of those who run businesses in Italy: hours and hours dedicated to bureaucracy, administrative tasks, and interpreting obscure requirements. In an SME, it is difficult to delegate delicate matters such as people and salaries, so it is often the CEO, the person whose time is the scarcest, who is burdened with bureaucracy. Jet HR is the solution I wished for when I started as an entrepreneur. Winning the support and enthusiasm of so many other entrepreneurs confirms that we are on the right track.”

Francesco Scalambrino, co-founder, and Chief Product Officer of Jet HR, added: “Efficiently managing all employee-related activities, starting from payroll, can significantly contribute to a company’s competitiveness. During my experiences abroad, I discovered how entrepreneurs, administrations, CFOs, and HR Managers can handle these tasks with far less complexity and time than in our country. We aim to bridge this gap for Italian companies by automating activities that consume employees’ precious time, allowing them to focus on strategic initiatives based on their roles and skills.”
