Over the 4 days of the event, participants can discover the disruptive tech solutions that are responding to the major challenges of our time and proposing decisive solutions for business and society.

VivaTech 2023: Key themes

While the tech development and innovation evolution rate continues to grow, we are more digital and tech-centric than ever.

Technology is impacting virtually every aspect of our lives – and it also holds the power to address major challenges in society.

This year, VivaTech is placing special emphasis on the tech areas with the most potential to disrupt and shape society, embracing the solutions that are bringing about positive change.

Tech to watch: AI

Artificial Intelligence already has an incredible reach across markets and is contributing to the majority of human activities. It’s a space that is continuing to evolve at a rapid pace and is directly influencing the wider tech ecosystem.

AI represents a market share of about $500 billion.

While it grows, though, there are also more and more questions emerging about its ethical impact, risks, and the future of regulation.

Energy and climate tech

The Climate Tech and Clean Tech space is a market area in which Europe has the chance to become a global leader. Already, European startups and enterprises are paving the way forward, developing innovative solutions to make life on Earth more sustainable and to bring us closer to Net Zero.

Climate Tech solutions are being embraced and developed across markets, helping governments, consumers and businesses respond to the climate crisis and reduce their carbon footprint.

Inclusion and Diversity

More inclusive and diverse workplaces make for better businesses and societies. fact.

Our workspaces are evolving, they are becoming more inclusive – and tech is helping that happen. Entrepreneurs are reinventing education, training and work by combining new technologies, responses to human resource needs and societal challenges. VivaTech is convinced that tech can improve inclusion and diversity issues in business.

FemTech

Women in tech remain severely underrepresented and underserved. At this year’s VivaTech Event, a FemTech village will be set up in the venue, dedicated to topics such as women’s well-being, menstrual health, reproduction and contraception, pregnancy and breastfeeding and so forth.

The event will also host a challenge for startups proposing innovation in women’s health, organized by FemTech France. In this, 12 startups will be selected and offered a place in a boot camp to supercharge their business.

In addition, more than 3,000 girls and young women will be traveling to Paris for the event. It’s part of an initiative to encourage career development, break down stereotypes and gain insight into the digital industries. Other initiatives will include the Female Founder Challenge (back for the 5th time) and a new Impact Builder acceleration program with DiversiDays for underrepresented entrepreneurs in tech.

Future of Sport

Sport has gone digital – and it’s keeping us more connected and closer to the sports and athletes we love.

In partnership with Global Sports Week, VivaTech will host a gathering dedicated to this wave of transformation of sport, exploring how cultural, technological and environmental changes are influencing the industry.

Going international

VivaTech is a celebration of innovation responding to global challenges. It unites players from across the business world to unite disruptive topics in tech, rule-breaking entrepreneurs, and the world’s largest technology breakthroughs, building an ecosystem where business gets done.

This year, the event will take an extra-special focus on the international – aiming to strengthen ties between tech ecosystems from all over the world.

This year, a total of 32 counties will be present, each presenting the different challenges and solutions they are offering to the world.

This includes Canada (as part of France Quebec Innovation 2023), Brazil, India, Taiwan, Korea, New Zealand, South Africa, Ivory Coast, Morocco, and different European nations.
