Finnish Web3 startup Kleoverse locks in over €1 million to revolutionize talent discovery in the online-native world

Developing a new way to help talent to find jobs at DAOs on Web3, Kleoverse has just raised over €1 million. The funding is led by byFounders, Sfermion, and angel investors such as crypto entrepreneur Ville Vesterinen, and Equilibrium, a leading global blockchain agency.

Founded in 2021 in Finland, Kleoverse is revolutionising job searches and helping freelancers to create professional identities in Web3. Using blockchain, Kleoverse uses NFTs to visualize an individual’s Web3 Proof-of-Talent based on the projects they’ve completed with DAOs (decentralized autonomous organizations). The platform replaces the need for the traditional and old-fashioned CV that doesn’t give a realistic image of a candidates experience and skills. Instead, Kleoverse, is bringing the newest wave in tech, Web3, to talent discovery.

The DAOs offer a vast range of opportunities for many kinds of contributors. They don’t have offices, mandatory working hours, corporate politics or the red tape that needs to be cut through in traditional job applications. Individuals instead work on their own terms, contributing to as many organizations as they want, collecting tokens and NFTs as rewards for their work on the way.

Aleksi Löytynoja, Co-Founder of Kleoverse, explained: “We believe the current ways for talent signaling are inadequate and old-fashioned for our increasingly digital world. There are three major problems in the current status quo of the job-seeking market: 1) Status measures the past, not the future, 2) Status signals are indirect, thus unreliable, 3) People are treated unequally. We want to change that by sharing step-by-step guides on how to join any DAO of choice and by building new means for showcasing Proof-of-Talent (PoT) based on your completed work on the web.”

The number of DAOs is growing rapidly and its increasingly hard to stay updated on all the latest projects. Kleoverse brings all DAOs and open Web3 projects together into one single source. As a result, Kleoverse Discovery solves the first problem posed to all individuals in the Web3 space today – how to explore the latest projects and start working in a rapidly emerging field of DAOs.

It’s estimated that cryptocurrencies already have more than 100 million users globally and that over 1.3 million people hold governance tokens of Web3-native decentralized autonomous organizations (DAO). Often, DAOs run bounties or similar simple tasks for onboarding new people to their communities. Those wanting to dive deeper can take on further tasks, gradually joining a working group or becoming a core contributor. Some may even apply for a grant to build a project or an individual product that supports the ecosystem.

The whole Web3 ecosystem is experiencing rapid growth at the moment, particularly with regards to DAOs – and its a trend that isn’t going anywhere. Kleoverse has well-positioned itself in this emerging market to help new builders join Web3 and find meaningful opportunities.

Joni Karras, Co-Founder of Kleoverse, said: “Kleoverse revolutionizes how people measure and discover talent in the online-native world. Web3 and DAOs act as a perfect environment for this. Permissionless projects and professional portfolios based on actions recorded on blockchain are the first steps towards a more equal, transparent, and remote-first world.”

Already, Kleoverse has over 100 DAOs on its platform and a few dozen projects hosted already by the time of its launch, with over 1,000 users signed up to its platform. The fresh investment will be used to fund further R&D in the platform, scale its user base, and build its global community of Web3 builders and developers.
