Don’t miss Vasco Pedro, Founder and CEO of Unbabel, speaking at next year’s EU-Startups Summit in Barcelona!

On the 29th-30th April 2021, we’re hosting the 7th edition of the EU-Startups Summit in Barcelona – will you join us? This 2-day event will give you the chance to meet over 1,500 participants (founders, startup enthusiasts, corporates, angel investors, VCs, and media), learn from 70+ expert speakers, take part in workshops with internationally successful founders, network (via our app!) and bite your nails through our exciting pitch competition.

Today we are excited to announce our first speaker who will share his tips, experience and knowledge with you: Vasco Pedro, Co-founder and CEO of rising star Unbabel.

Unbabel removes language barriers between companies and their customers by blending artificial intelligence with a global network of translators to provide real-time, human-quality translations at scale. We recently reported that they raised €55 million in Series C financing, bringing their total figure for funding to $91 million, as well as being given the title of ‘Best global Machine Translation Quality Estimation’ at WMT19. Founded in 2013, they are already working with major players, such as Booking.com, TomTom, Trello, easyJet and Microsoft, offering them ‘next dimension of multilingual customer support’.

Vasco has acted as founder and CEO of Unbabel for 7 years, owning the company vision, overall business strategy and product development, as well as growing the company from Lisbon to San Francisco. In addition, he has been a mentor for early-stage startups for Beta-i for 8 years, founded two other companies, and holds a PhD in ‘Natural Language Processing’.

At the EU-Startups Summit, Vasco will hold a keynote with the inside story behind Unbabel’s growth, as well as his perspective on how AI is transforming the translation market. After his talk, there will be time for questions to jump delve deeper into his expertise and discover how to apply these learnings to your own startup.

If you would like to learn from his insights, plus meet 1,500+ startup players, take part in interactive workshops and be motivated by 70+ speakers, there’s still time to secure your ticket to the EU Startups Summit 2021 in sunny Barcelona!
