London-based fintech startup Revolut launches business accounts in the UK and Europe

Revolut, the app-based banking alternative from London, has today launched a new business service across the UK and Europe that will allow companies to sign up for multi currency accounts in minutes, transfer money with the interbank exchange rate and issue employees with corporate cards for global fee-free spending.

Revolut for Business will enable companies to hold, exchange and transfer in 25 currencies with the interbank exchange rate, issue employees with corporate cards for global fee-free spending and manage their transactional activity real-time through a secure online platform.

Since Revolut announced the development of a business service earlier this year, more than 12,000 businesses have pre-registered. Businesses will have the option to choose from three packages, ranging from £25.00 – £1,000 per month, with the first month free.

Additional features will include free and instant money transfers between companies that are signed up to Revolut for Business, real-time spending notifications, dedicated customer support and all businesses will receive their first month free.

London-based Revolut, launched nearly two years ago, has acquired more than 650,000 customers with their consumer service, allowing customers to open a current account in 60 seconds, exchange currencies with the interbank exchange rate, make free international money transfers and spend fee-free in 120 currencies with a contactless MasterCard.

Founded in 2015, Revolut was able to secure about $15 million in venture capital so far. Partly also from equity-based crowdfunding.
