Swan is looking for a Business Development & Account Manager that will grow our business from the inside and help maximize the full potential of our platform and partners.

Were looking for a general athlete who is able to take over of a role with two main dimensions :

1. Account Management : You'll be in charge of managing our existing portfolio across Europe. You will nurture relations with our partners (customers), help them market Swans offering, understand their needs to increase our penetration and upsell them new features.

2. Business Development : You'll be in charge of defining our strategy to make our business grow even faster. You will build up new offerings that will drive our revenue up by partnering with our internal teams (Marketing, Product, Compliance) and our external partners (e.g. card scheme)

This is a key role for us because you will be a direct contributor to our commercial success. Indeed as we sell our product through a B2B2X model, we need to develop our existing business to reach our commercial ambitions.

As such were looking for a strategic thinker with both an analytical profile and a strong business acumen, being able to understand our partners markets and to identify and lead strategic initiatives.

Someone who wouldn't be afraid of leading a full sales cycle and who considers that a solid go to market plan cant be done without actively discussing with customers & prospects.

We need a curious person with an entrepreneurial mindset, willing to learn and comfortable with the technical aspects of our product.

Lastly, were looking for a team player who will partner with our Marketing, Product and Compliance teams (among others) to ensure our sales organization is always aligned with the rest of the company.

Based in Paris, you'll be the second person to join Swans nascent Business Development & Account Management team, and part of the wider Commercial team.

Here is a snapshot of some of the responsibilities you will have :

  • Be accountable for increasing revenue through end-customer penetration rates amongst existing partners and through upselling of new features
  • Develop a consultative and solution-based sales approach to help our partners market banking offerings
  • Maintain great relationships with existing and new partners
  • Bring learnings from partners to fuel discussions around our sales approach, our product roadmap and our marketing strategy
  • Help us define Swans sales playbook and go-to-market strategy
  • Develop a playbook of market's best practices around the use cases we serve (card issuing, vertical banks, integration of payment features in a SaaS product...)
  • Understand changes needed and help build Swans new offers to tackle new verticals
  • Contribute to build a data-driven sales organization based on KPIs and analyses
  • Effectively work cross-functionally across the organization to shape Swans solutions to meet our partners needs

Preferred Experience

  • Master degree in a Tier-1 business or engineering school
  • At least 2 years of experience in a consulting firm, start-up / scale-up or another fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent working abilities in English and French
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent team player and fun to work with
  • Passion for startups, new technology businesses and Fintechs
  • Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts, and translate them into industry- or business-relevant terms
  • Flexibility with changing requirements in an evolving and fast-paced environment
  • An experience in an international / European environment would be a plus
