What’s your main motivation to set up your own business? To build a huge company and become rich To be my own boss To have more flexibility and work-life balance To change something in the world/make an impact 2. How do you view taking risks? I never take risks I take risks when I’ve done a lot of research and it’s not a huuuge jump I love taking risks and the adrenaline associated! 3. How many hours a day are you prepared to work for the first few years? Part-time would be perfect 9-5 suits me just fine 12-hour days, but I’ll take the weekends off All day, everyday, even weekends 4. Would you temporarily lower your standard of living until your business is firmly established? No, I’d never do that Maybe Yes, whatever it takes 5. At school or university did you ever sell things (toys, hair braids, study advice, food, etc.) or get involved in clubs? Yes, I sold things Yes, I played in team sports Yes, I sought out leadership roles in clubs and sports Not really 6. Do you have a degree or real life experience with business? Yes, I do No, but I'll figure it out No, but I already have/will find someone to help me Hmm good question, I hadn't thought it was important 7. Do you have experience working in the kind of business you’d like to build? Yes, I’ve worked in similar companies No, I’ve only read about it 8. How are you with money? I record all my spendings and save at least 30% of my salary every month I have some small savings, but I spend most of my salary every month Unfortunately, I’m a big spender! 9. How do you handle failing? I give up - it’s a sign it’s not my thing I just try the same thing again I keep trying but use different tactics 10. Do you usually get on with other people? Yes, I’m able to handle many kinds of social situations Sometimes, but I also sometimes have conflicts with others I’m quiet, but get along with people fine 11. How good are you at delegating? Okay, I don’t mind delegating small or medium-sized tasks It doesn't ever come up Very good - if I made every decision, it would be too much 12. When stress and challenges hit, how do you act? Unfortunately, I procrastinate! I take a deep breath and keep going until the situation is solved I don’t handle it well 13. How do you deal with criticism and feedback? I try to take feedback constructively, and make changes where needed I don't really listen - it's my life and my business I get overwhelmed by all the opinions Time is Up!
