We are looking in our 1XO organization a MAP leader to support our XWings Demonstrator for our sister Company Upnext. The technology demonstrators at Airbus. UpNext evaluate, mature and validate potential new products and services that encompass radical technological breakthroughs. It has three official locations in France, Germany and Spain, and a presence in the United Kingdom to rapidly develop and test future technologies in scaled applications.
MAP team role is to ensure that the A/C and/or demonstrator is good for flight and ensure Airbus Logbook answered technically to approve configuration change, deviation, and general technical status. Scope covered: System installation & FTI (full responsibility), Systems & Structure (unique entry point for FAL but decision responsibility is on System & Structure design offices MAP focal points)
Key Role
- MAP Leader will have a key role in coordination between MRO and whole Engineering organization to ensure right the first time approach and will work in close synergy with the Aircraft Manager During the conversion & the flight test phases
- Ensure all deviations/non-conformities properly declared, treated on fast-track approach, and with solution proposed to solve the issue
- Need to propose solution to ensure functionalities & safety while being pragmatic to secure cost & leadtime of implementation
- Escalate & prioritize topics for the MRO to the Airbus Upnext Engineering organization Support activities for all ATA chapters through ALB with Engineering support
- Lead flight test support activities related to troubleshooting, repair & rework instruction
- Lead Engineering assessment to provide good for flight in ALB
- Drive CCB change through new design while securing cost & schedule impact and coordination with other stakeholders (industrialization, MRO, Flight test)Create / Approve EAM (or SI in Airbus world) for certain ATA (according to eXtra Wing Performance Document signatories - ref ADNS X00D21017520)
- Engineering Support to A/C Manager for Target Conf consolidation Participate to daily ROP meetings Implement the MAP process and best practices to enable the conversion on time & cost On-duty period & extended working hours has to be anticipated to support the demonstrator schedule. The job will require a 9 to 12 months presence in Cazaux FAL
Skills:
- Aircraft knowledge
- Minimum 10-years in Design Engineering and/or MAP
- Experience on FTI/Flight test organisation
- Previous MAP experience
