REQUIREMENTS

What will be you doing day to day

Reporting: Head of Sales, London

Location: Shoreditch, London.

Acquiring Shippers is at the heart of our business. They send pallets through our network, thereby generating revenue and stimulating engagement in our carrier fleet. The Sales Executive is at the bleeding edge of this challenge, with full responsibility for growing OnTruck’s UK footprint through new shipper acquisition. You will target, pitch and onboard new businesses from scratch, using your intellect, charm, charisma and creativity to source and convert the best possible businesses to our platform. As such, you are the driving force of OnTruck’s growth engine and will be able to claim your actions directly contributed to the creation of one of the world’s most disruptive and innovative companies.

Requirements

  • We are looking for a trailblazer. Someone bright, motivated and capable. Someone entrepreneurial and passionate about B2B sales who is seeking a role where they can truly make a substantial impact.
    • Identify, approach and covert new opportunities from scratch. You will own the full sales cycle, end to end, including:
      • Making initial contact with Shippers on a 1-1 basis.
      • Introducing the product, framing a value proposition and pitching a bespoke solution for the decision maker.
      • Acting as the main point of contact for Shippers on questions, feedback and education about OnTruck product, capabilities and sales cycle.
      • Managing stakeholders across a number of business to convert the deal.
      • Handing over to account management teams, post-launch, to ensure ongoing growth and success.
    • Operate effectively in a consultative selling environment.
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders in operations, marketing and senior management to ensure your shippers move quickly through the sales cycle and, once they go live, ramp up to peak revenue generation ASAP.
    • Finally, we are a start-up so you will occasionally be asked to work on exciting, growth-orientated projects that help the business grow and support our efforts to onboard more sites, more quickly across more locations. As a result, there is scope to support the City Manager with ad-hoc projects that help scale the business. Recent examples include: creation of a KPI/bonus structure, UK market segmentation exercise, creation of sales collateral and B2B marketing assets and development of extra-large enterprise accounts.
    • Your performance will be measured in terms of volume (the number of new sites you bring on board) and value (the revenue generated by these sites).

What we are looking for

  • You need to be sharp, analytical, innovative, entrepreneurial and resourceful.
  • You should have a proven track record of success in a consultative sales environment, preferable in a start-up/scale-up organisation.
  • You should have worked in a role where you have owned the sales cycle end to end, and been responsible for working effectively with a range of internal stakeholders to deliver vs clients’ requirements.
  • You'll be a passionate, self-driven, ambitious and talented individual with excellent communication skills.
  • You'll display a high level of emotional intelligence and be a superior relationship builder.
  • Degree or higher, preferably in business administration, statistics or economics
  • Familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Startup/Tech experiences preferred
  • Native fluency in spoken and written English. Spanish or other additional languages are highly valued.
