Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Technical Sales Manager role is vital in helping to achieve revenue and margin growth, in line with company vision and values.

Schust Development, Inc., a member of the Scheuch Group, is a proven leader in the North American Industrial Ventilation and Air Pollution Control Industries. Headquartered in Fort Wayne, IN, our in-house expertise includes providing full turnkey and project management services, from conceptual and detailed engineering to fabrication, complete installation, start-up, and commissioning.

Duties

  • Learn Scheuch technologies by spending three months at Scheuch headquarters in Aurolzmünster, Austria
  • Learn technical details about Scheuch core technologies and how best to differentiate and sell based on our unique value proposition
  • Manage interface and communications between Scheuch North America and Scheuch Austria
  • Maintain and develop strong working relationships with Schust in-house sales and operations personnel
  • Travel as required for site walk-downs, client visits, meetings, and presentations
  • Support and take direction from Outside Sales to select appropriate technology and lead proposal development effort
  • Coordinate development of equipment and duct arrangement plans used for proposal development
  • Participate at trade shows, conferences, and other industry events
  • Collaborate, leverage, and work closely with management, sales, and operations, including an Austrian headquartered parent company
  • Work with Operations to develop strategy, tactics, and timeline to migrate core Scheuch technology(s) to the US Team
  • Maintain account, contact, and opportunity database within Schust CRM system
  • Utilize Schust standard documents including Cost Estimate and Budget Sheet
  • Assist in transitioning "Opportunities Won" to operations after PO is received
  • Achieve Schust order intake and margin goals

Qualifications

  • Willingness to relocate to the US (Fort Wayne, Indiana) for a two-year assignment
  • Technical degree preferred
  • Five years of proven industrial sales experience selling large Capital Goods and Projects, preferably in the environmental air pollution control markets
  • Fluent in the German language
  • Willing to travel throughout the US up to 50% of the time, as needed
  • Experience reporting to a senior-level management team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain an upbeat and positive attitude
  • Ability to work in a growing organization with progressive and evolving goals
  • Ability to work in a self-directed, fast-paced professional environment
  • Familiarity and preferred efficiency with CRM management tools (Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)
