We are a fast-growing, clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing tumor-specific T cell receptor (TCR) therapies. Our dynamic, international team sets out with the ambitious goal to revolutionize the TCR landscape using our unique and proprietary transgenic HuTCR mouse platform to produce off-the-shelf, fully human TCRs for the treatment of cancer. To achieve this ambitious goal, we have raised EUR 66 million from top-tier investors in August 2020. Our lead TCR program is currently in Phase I clinical development in patients with multiple myeloma. Moreover, we plan to advance at least four programs into the clinic, ramping-up preclinical work for additional selected proprietary pipeline candidates and discovering TCRs against novel targets. We are located at BiotechPark Berlin-Buch in the north of Germany’s vibrant capital. To expand our team, we are looking for a Team Lead TCR Discovery (F/M/X). As part of T-knife’s growing R&D team you will participate in the discovery & characterization of TCRs for preclinical development. Lead, supervise and motivate a research team of 3-4 people: Guide the design and implementation of experimental workflows, data analysis and documentation Train and supervise technical assistants and new scientists Interpret and present results to head of the department and colleagues Develop and coordinate research projects together with colleagues to meet project timelines Pursue experimental aims: Evaluate novel TCR target antigens for immunogenicity and therapeutic feasibility Generate tumor-specific TCRs from HuTCR mice by immunization and single cell sequencing Establish in vitro assays for immune response testing Characterize TCRs in primary human T cells in in vitro assays PhD in biology, biochemistry or similar Professional experience in a biotech company Experience in leading a team and supervising Strong background in tumor immunology, immuno-oncology, T cell biology, knowledge of TCRs/CAR-T Strong communication skills, team spirit and flexibility Translational mindset, economic and analytical thinking with a high degree of initiative and self-organization Comfortable working in a dynamic environment & willing to fully commit to a project Solid practice of laboratory methods in immunology (ELISA, FACS), cell culture and molecular biology (cloning, PCR) Experience with mouse experiments (handling, breeding, documentation) and in NGS advantageous We offer a permanent position in a young, growing and dynamic company in Berlin in the rapidly growing TCR/CAR-T space.
