ABOUT THE POSITION
The Software Team Leader drives creation of the software implementation for our 3D laser printing machines.
These are equipped with the latest top technology embedding motors, high-performance lasers, PLC, Industrial PC, sensors, lighting, vision systems and all other machine components.
In this role you drive and lead a team of PLC and application software developers.
POSITION DESCRIPTON :
- Establish Software Requirements Document (SRD) based upon Control System Req. Document (CSRD)
- Execute and supervise SW Design activities in collaboration with technical project lead and project managers in a matrix organization
- Respond to project request for software resource by providing reliable effort predictions
- Define and manage software development work packages handed to external suppliers
- Ensure timely execution and delivery of software development tasks by the software development team
- Develop the software team to adopt new technologies
- Be responsible for the definition of software development processes executed by the team
- Coordinate the technical interfaces with other teams within the Nikon SLM machine development process
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical / industrial engineering studies with focus on software / programming
- Several years of experience in C# and C++ in .NET environment and / or PLC experience with other programming languages is a plus
- Experience in leading a team is highly beneficial
- Strong project and people management skills
- You have intense social skills and capabilities to lead people
- Strongly familiar with configuration and change management procedures and related implications
- Outstanding communication skills in technical as well as non-technical discussions
- You are fluent in English
