ABOUT THE POSITION 

The Software Team Leader drives creation of the software implementation for our 3D laser printing machines.

These are equipped with the latest top technology embedding motors, high-performance lasers, PLC, Industrial PC, sensors, lighting, vision systems and all other machine components.

In this role you drive and lead a team of PLC and application software developers.

POSITION DESCRIPTON :

  • Establish Software Requirements Document (SRD) based upon Control System Req. Document (CSRD)
  • Execute and supervise SW Design activities in collaboration with technical project lead and project managers in a matrix organization
  • Respond to project request for software resource by providing reliable effort predictions
  • Define and manage software development work packages handed to external suppliers
  • Ensure timely execution and delivery of software development tasks by the software development team
  • Develop the software team to adopt new technologies
  • Be responsible for the definition of software development processes executed by the team
  • Coordinate the technical interfaces with other teams within the Nikon SLM machine development process

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in technical / industrial engineering studies with focus on software / programming
  • Several years of experience in C# and C++ in .NET environment and / or PLC experience with other programming languages is a plus
  • Experience in leading a team is highly beneficial
  • Strong project and people management skills
  • You have intense social skills and capabilities to lead people
  • Strongly familiar with configuration and change management procedures and related implications
  • Outstanding communication skills in technical as well as non-technical discussions
  • You are fluent in English
