Description
You will work on:
- Supporting our current IT administration on all IT-related tasks
- Running and extending our IT infrastructure
- Deploying our newest software on- and offsite and in the cloud
- Being responsible for data and system security
- Providing multi-platform operational support for our fast-growing and international team and our customers
- Reviewing and deciding on new technologies together with our researchers and developers
- Improving productivity and automation through tooling and scripts
- Keeping up to date with technological developments in systems administration technology and recommending ways to take advantage of new technology
- Taking care of the management of internal company inventory (hardware, software, licensing, etc.)
You have:
- 2 years of relevant full-time experience in IT and/or in systems administration in a professional or comparable environment
- Good knowledge of Linux (e.g. Debian, Ubuntu, RHEL) and Windows administration onsite and in the cloud
- Experience with web technologies (e.g. Apache, Jetty, HTTPS), databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL), cloud computing (e.g. AWS, Azure) and networking technologies (e.g. TCP/IP, Firewalls, SSH, Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos, NFS)
- Good troubleshooting skills with desire to solve every day IT problems
- Good knowledge about networking hardware
You are:
- Passionate about automating tasks (e.g. Python, Bash, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, SaltStack)
- Always eager to assemble computers and troubleshoot hardware
